Military Locations IN Southeast Indiana

While there is no lack of military locations in Southeast Indiana, Southeast Indiana has a uniquely high number of influential figures that have come through at one time or another.

One of these figures, Maj. Gen. Ambrose E. Burnside, for whom the sideburn was named, was born in Indiana. His home was near Liberty, but his journey took him far from there. He invented a new type of rifle, was general of the Ohio army when Morgan was finally captured, and eventually became senator of Rhode Island.

But people are not the only reason to visit Southeast Indiana. There is also the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery which honors our fallen heroes in death and the Muscatatuck Training Center Museum which is a museum dedicated to both the national guard and the Muscatatuck hospital that used to be there. There are so many interesting military locations to get acquainted with in Southeast Indiana.
