Military Locations IN Central Indiana

The capital city of Indiana, Indianapolis, has dedicated more acreage than any other United States city to honoring our veterans and servicemen outside of Washington DC. That is a big claim and one they back up as probably the most recognizable landmark in Indianapolis is Monument Circle which boasts the towering Soldiers & Sailors Monument, dedicated to soldiers and veterans of all wars before World War I. According to the Indiana War Memorial site, "Recognized as one of the world's outstanding monuments, the [Soldiers & Sailors Monument] has come to symbolize both the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana."

However, there are plenty more monuments around central Indiana to explore. From the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, which was the home of former-president Benjamin Harrison, to the Governor Oliver Morton Statue in front of the Statehouse, Indianapolis has more military locations to discover around every corner.
