Weaving Your Way Through Amish Country
The Quilt Gardens Along the Heritage Trail in Elkhart County not only displays colorful flowers pleasing to the eye, but an array of unique designs planted to replicate quilt patterns. Each year the designs and flowers change each spring and bloom through October. Maps are available at the Elkhart County Visitor Center in order to view the gardens spread across 27 different sites along the Heritage Trail.

In Goshen, you’ll be greeted by the Kercher family upon entering the Kercher’s Sunrise Orchard and Farm Market . For more than 89 years the Kerchers have wholeheartedly welcomed and introduced visitors to their renowned orchard and market. Indulge in the locally produced fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, maple syrup, noodles, tempting baked goods, popcorn, flowers and morel mushrooms. For a more hands-on approach, enjoy a free hayride, pick apples and select the perfect pumpkin in the fall season.


Diverse Delectables

Goshen brings a bit of diversity to Indiana with Kelly Jae’s Café  , a beautiful blend of the Spanish tapas concept with an Asian flair. The café opened its doors just this past June and offers a blend of hot or cold tapas, sushi, soups, salads and an assortment of sides ranging from pad thai with pork to pepper-corn encrusted flatiron steak. The restaurant is also complete with a full bar offering a variety of beer, liquor and wine. With one of Kelly Jae Café’s chefs earning the ranking of top fifteen chefs in the state according to the cookbook, “Indiana Cooks”, this Goshen hot spot is too good to pass up.

The Cinnamon Stick  is a perfect destination in Middlebury for a shopaholic. Fashion and history collide here as contemporary fashion is housed within an 1897 general store. Customers will uncover a wide variety of Vera Bradley purses, South Bend chocolates, Quilt Garden merchandise, pottery, greeting cards and candles. This quaint boutique is perfect for purchasing gifts or a souvenir from Elkhart County.
