Chocolate Moose

Frazier’s Dairy Maid 

 

Frazier's Dairy Maid was founded in 1954 and has been serving Madison County's favorite ice cream for over 55 years. Since its inception, the goal of Frazier's has been to provide quality service and a family environment. It still offers the feel of a 1950's ice cream store and has been voted best ice cream in Madison County for 5 consecutive years.

Gene’s Root Beer Drive-In 

 

This quaint drive-in restaurant will take you back in time with their fries, burgers, dogs and of course root beer! Gene’s Root Beer Drive-In is located in Anderson.

Igloo Frozen Custard 

 

The next-generation 1949 blue neon drive-in igloo is the oldest family-owned and operated drive-in restaurant in town, across the street from Columbian Park, Columbian Park Zoo, Tropicanoe Cove and Loeb Stadium. An old-fashioned soda fountain menu features favorite drive-in foods: delicious shakes, sundaes and 12 different flavors of custards, Spanish dogs, giant fish sandwiches and onion rings. 

Ivanhoe’s Ice Cream and Sandwich Shoppe 

 

You’ll be screaming for ice cream at Ivanhoe’s Ice Cream and Sandwich Shoppe. Ivanhoe’s is famous for its 100 different shakes and 100 different sundaes. In addition to the ice cream treats, customers love the hamburgers, chicken salad, fruit salad, and tenderloin sandwiches.

Lemon Drop 

 

You won’t miss this cute bright yellow restaurant from the side of the road. Stop by the Lemon Drop and try their breaded tenderloins and onion rings.

Located in Peru, Indiana this classic drive-in offers delicious hot dogs, ice cream and more.

Oasis Diner 

Take a trip back in time to the 1950s at Oasis Diner. Oasis Diner is one of the hottest places to get disco fries and a chocolate malt on the west side! With an impressive menu, the Oasis Diner doesn’t disappoint. Be sure to try an Oasis Burger,  a messy number topped with pulled pork, bacon, and coleslaw

Route 66 Diner 

 

When you walk in Route 66 Diner, it's like taking a trip down memory lane. The restaurant is decorated with 1950's type tables and chairs or a counter if you choose. They have a great "Otto's Garage" area, decorated with automobile or gas station memorabilia. This is a sister restaurant to the Triple XXX Family Restaurant (also in West Lafayette), known from it's appearance on the Food Network's hit show: "Diner's Drive Ins and Dive's". Same great food as the Triple XXX Family Restaurant, plus some. This location is also great for groups!

Smackwater Cove Bar and Grill 

 

Be sure to stop by this great restaurant in Derby with a beautiful view of the Ohio river. Smackwater Cove Bar and Grill has a large family dining room for all your gatherings or events.

Since 1951, this Family owned restaurant has been serving their community. Be sure to try one of their Spanish Cheese Dogs, Fried Mushrooms, Nachos, Corn Dogs, Root Beer or Root Beer Floats.

Did you know that Triple XXX is Indiana’s first and oldest drive-in restaurant? Today, the last iconic Triple XXX Thirst Station remains in West Lafayette, Indiana, where it’s been on the hill, but on the level, since 1929. Just steps from the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, you can’t help but notice the Triple XXX on the hill in Chauncey Village.
