The one and only!
The Santa Claus Post Office is the only post office in the world with the Santa Claus name! The first Santa Claus Post Office opened its doors in 1856.
The post office drew interest from all over the country when the town's postmaster, James Martin, began answering children's letters to Santa in 1914. The letters proved so popular, that Martin had to enlist more help. Today, the non-profit organization Santa's Elves Inc., and the Santa Claus Museum work with volunteers to answer the children's letters that flood the tiny post office during the holidays.
During the month of December, a special picture postmark designed by a local high school student is available. And be sure to snap a photo with the Santa statue outside!
