Learn about the history of Howard County in this stunning mansion
A list of Indiana’s great mansions would undoubtedly include Kokomo’s stunning Seiberling Mansion, built in 1891 by industrialist Monroe Seiberling. Seiberling came to Kokomo during the Indiana gas boom of the late 19th century and built several large factories in the region.
Over the last 100 years, the Seiberling Mansion has been a residence, university, and today a beautifully restored historic landmark and home of the Howard County Historical Society. Features include late-Victorian architecture, hand-carved woodwork, and multiple exhibits throughout highlighting the remarkable history of Howard County.
The Seiberling Mansion is especially glorious during the holidays! Christmas at the Seiberling starts annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving and runs through the end of December. In addition to regular hours, special evening hours are offered during the holiday season. Visit website to find a calendar of special events.
