Visit Swiss Heritage Village & Museum in 2019!
Visit northeast Indiana’s largest outdoor museum! Featuring 26 acres of lush grounds, woods, trails and wetlands, our 1800s historical Village is a sight to see! Our original structures include the World’s Largest 1800s Cider Press, the one-room brick Yager School House, the Civil War era Luginbill Farmhouse, Dr. Sprunger's office, a Pioneer Log Cabin, the Hartman Cheese House, the Werling Sawmill and the Baumgartner Church built around 1860 by the first Mennonite fellowship in Indiana. Guided tours are offered daily during our open season.
Also for your enjoyment is a 4000 sq. ft. indoor museum. Displays include the history of furniture manufacturers in Berne, a variety of antique furnishings and household items, a post office, a print shop, military memorabilia, and note-worthy contributors to the community, as well as our Swiss heritage in general. We host a variety of community events and festivals throughout our open season and would love to have you join us! Call 260-589-8007 or visit our website at www.swissheritage.org for details and event dates.
