Exploration Acres, Northwest Indiana’s largest corn maze and pumpkin patch, has created a Stranger Things-themed corn maze in Lafayette, IN, which will open to the public in September 2018. Tim Fitzgerald, President and CEO of Exploration Acres, says, “After binge-watching the entire Stranger Things series last year, I knew we had a unique opportunity to create an immersive environment for fans at our farm.” The area of the twenty-acre maze is equivalent to approximately fifteen football fields, and the available paths total over ten miles, making this the largest attraction Exploration Acres has attempted to date.
The dynamic design features familiar images from the show. Once the maze design was finalized, state-of-the-art GPS equipment was used to plant the field. Fitzgerald says, “This year, new technology allowed us to plant the maze design like an inkjet printer— dropping seeds into the precise design we imagined.”
Exploration Acres will open for the 2018 season on September 14, 2018 and will remain open until October 28, 2018. Tickets are available online, or may be purchased upon arrival. Exploration Acres is located at 6042 Newcastle Road Lafayette, IN 47905.
