In 1920, the Indiana General Assembly created the Indiana World War Memorial and the Indiana War Memorial Plaza Historic District. The Indiana War Memorial Plaza Historic District is one of America's most impressive public settings and the site of one of the nation's most outstanding war memorials. The Indiana War Memorial Museum is a 30,000-square-foot chronological museum that portrays American military history from the Revolutionary War to the present day, with special focus on Indiana's role in our nation's conflicts. Admission is free.
