Cardinal Greenways is a private, not-for-profit organization that encompasses the Cardinal Greenway, White River Greenway, the Historic Wysor Street Depot and the Cardinal Equestrian Trail. The Cardinal is a 62 mile paved rail-trail spanning five counties in East Central Indiana. Those counties are Grant, Delaware, Henry, Randolph and Wayne. The White River Greenway is a 6 mile paved trail traveling along the White River in Muncie, Indiana. The Historic Wysor Street Depot is a restored train station that serves as the trail headquarters. The Cardinal Equestrian Trail is currently 8 miles with plans to expand. The Cardinal Greenway boasts being one of Indiana's Visionary Trail systems and the longest paved rail-trail in Indiana. The Cardinal is a multi use trail that enjoys over 250,000 trail users each year. The trails offer gorgeous scenery and travel through urban and country settings and travel through many communities, over bridges, along creeks, rivers and more. Visitors can enjoy walking, running, cycling, roller blading, horseback riding and leisurely strolls. Parking is available at each trail head.
