Discover the charm of Jasper County. Hometown festivals, winery, art community, agricultural attractions and spectacular sandhill crane migration.
Jasper County is home to one of Indiana's greatest wildlife spectacles at Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area. Each fall, tens of thousands of sandhill cranes visit Jasper-Pulaski's shallow marshes on their southward migration. Although the cranes can be seen all over the surrounding area, the best place to marvel at this natural phenomenon is from Jasper-Pulaski’s viewing platforms, overlooking Goose Pasture.
Jasper County has an abundance of hometown festivals to choose from, as well as the popular Jasper County Fair. Visit Remington’s Fountain Park Chautauqua or Water Tower Days for a relaxing day of fun and stop by The Homestead Buttery & Bakery for a sweet treat to complete your day. After enjoying the annual parade, watch wooden-shoe dancing and sample Banket or Oliebollen, traditional Dutch foods, at the Touch of Dutch festival in DeMotte.
