The Midwest’s largest flea market is held every Tuesday and Wednesday of each week (8 am – 5 pm) from the first of May - 1st Saturday in October. You can find hundreds of vendors selling everything from fresh fruit to handcrafted furniture. The small community comes alive with travelers from all over to visit this "do not miss" Hoosier tradition. 2016 Extended Market weeks: Memorial Day – May 30 – June 1, 8am to 5pm 4th of July – July 4 – 6, 8am to 5pm Labor Day – September 5 – 7, 8am to 5pm Fall Extravaganza – September 27 – October 1, 8am to 5pm On Wednesdays, visitors can take in the weekly Misc. & Antique Auction, featuring up to 10 auctioneers selling a variety of Misc. items and antiques beginning with the auction bell at 9 am, year-round. A spacious, well-lit antique mall awaits you across the street. It is not hard to find a friendly face on these streets, nor is it difficult to keep one busy with the numerous activities Shipshewana has to offer.
