Jewish German immigrant Solomon Mier settled in Ligonier in the 1800s, founding many of the town's businesses and bringing other immigrants from Germany. His home is Italian/Queen Anne Renaissance style that accommodates up to 12 guests in four bedrooms equipped with private baths, air conditioning and other modern amenities. The Inn is close to many antique and gift shops, the Annie Oakley Perfumery, Shipshewana and local museums and attractions. A Mier carriage is on display at the home.
