About Historic Newburgh Visitors Center

This picturesque river town has cool shops, unique restaurants and a must see museum. After lunch, spend some time walking along the 3 mile Rivertown Trail with its breathtaking views of the Ohio River. Check out our website for all the events and activities throughout the year. Events include Wine, Art and Jazz Festival the third weekend in May, a farmers market every Saturday morning from Memorial Day weekend until September 24th, Fireworks and Evening in the Park on July 2nd, Ghost Walks mid October, and Dicken's style Christmas the first weekend in December with over 75 people dressed in 1880's costume. There is always something going on! Historic Newburgh was the first town captured north of the Mason Dixon Line in Civil War. July, 16 2016 we will have a reenactment of that day in history. Historic Newburgh is where contemporary meets tradition.
