Bert and Betty Miller built and managed this destination restaurant now owned and operated by their daughter. Open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Saturday, this is food like grandma made — beef and chicken manhattans, biscuits and gravy, chicken and ham salad, mashed potatoes and gravy. Portions are large, and the mystery of the place is how everyone raves about the pies while so few have room for dessert.
