St Patrick's County Park

Previous Next

Photo opportunities abound at St. Patrick’s County Park, a 398-acre retreat on the north side of South Bend. The park is adjacent to the St. Joseph River, giving way to some of the best vistas for seeing the change in color against the flowing water. Look carefully and you might see the bald eagles that nest along the river’s edge.

Several loops in St. Patrick’s County Park add up to almost five miles of trail, from tranquil meadow strolls to those that run along the St. Joseph River. You’ll spot plenty of birds and wildlife, including a chance to see the bald eagles that nest nearby.

Playgrounds, picnic sites, canoe rentals and winter fun includes innertubing and cross country skiing.
