Fall=Festivals! The Seymour Oktoberfest celebrates German Heritage with food booths, crafts, live music, a hot air balloon race, a parade and even a brat eating contest. Seymour Oktoberfest is October 3-5, 2019.

Vallonia bursts at the seams with people at the annual celebration of Fort Vallonia Days, October 19-20, 2019. Fort Vallonia Days celebrates with a tomahawk throw, muzzleloader shooting contest, bow shoot and authentic blacksmith shop, as well as a parade, antique exhibits, food booths, flea market and free entertainment.

Enjoy all fall has to offer in Jackson County. Jackson-Washington State Forest offers camping, horse trails, hiking and mountain biking. Hike Pinnacle Peak, Jackson County's highest spot. Skyline Drive offers picnic areas, hiking and gorgeous scenes of fall beauty. Climb a fire tower! Starve Hollow Recreation Area features a nature center, camping, hiking, fishing and canoeing. See covered bridges, round barns and our many farm markets. Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge includes a nature center with a bird-viewing room and gift shop and has trails throughout. Photo opportunities abound at the Refuge.
