About Sculpture Garden & Nature Trail Field Day

Join us for a celebration of the Sculpture Garden and Nature Trail. Master Gardener and Purdue landscaper Brenda Carton, who designed and installed the landscaping with the aid of volunteers, will talk about the plants she selected, and the role they play in the design of the garden. Purdue geologist Terry West will talk about the cemented terrace gravel formation along the Nature Trail that was created by a series of glaciers. The formation is similar to Prophets Rock. Retired Purdue entomologist Tom (Bug Man) Turpin will bring some critters to share with guests and discuss the role of insects in a healthy woods and their ecological impact everywhere. INPAWS (Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society) will talk about the native trees and shrubs located along the Nature Trail. FEE: Free
