The Muncie Three Trails Music Series has announced its lineup for 2017. The four FREE concerts to be presented at Canan Commons are: July 8 -- Bettye Lavette (soul/R&B). Jennie Devoe will open. Bettye Lavette is a 3-time Grammy nominee, a W.C. Handy award winner, winner of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation Pioneer Award, and 2016 recipient of Best Soul Blues Female Artist by the Blues Music Association; August 4 -- Jerry Douglas presents The Earls of Leicester (bluegrass). Bluegrass "supergroup" the Earls of Leicester were 2015 Grammy winners for their eponymous debut, and International Bluegrass Music Association winners of Entertainers of the Year (2015 and 2016), Instrumental Group of the Year, Album of the Year, and Dobro Player, Male Vocalist, Banjo Player and Bass Player of the Year. August 26 -- Flor de Toloache (all-female Mariachi band). Latin Grammy nominees Flor de Toloache are pioneers in updating Mariachi music for contemporary audiences and have performed on renowned stages throughout Europe and the U.S. September 23 -- Pokey Lafarge (Americana). Rounder Records' recording artist Pokey Lafarge is a two-time winner of Best Americana Album and in 2016 played to the largest crowd in our series' history.
