About Midsummer Celebration

Take part in an afternoon of traditional dance, children's activities and other summer fun as you learn how the area's Swedish immigrants celebrated Midsummer, the longest day of the year. A highlight of the event is the raising of a newly decorated Maypole at 1:15 p.m. (CT). You can bring flowers from home and help in the age-old custom of decorating the Maypole. Enjoy colorfully-costumed performances by a local children's dance group.
