Cincinnati Kinderballet performs The Nutcracker-Rising Sun

About Cincinnati Kinderballet performs The Nutcracker-Rising Sun

The public is invited to a free presentation of the holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. The ballet performance takes place Saturday, December 17 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rising Sun Senior Center in Rising Sun. Utilizing new and updated choreography, the ballet features youth dancers from Cincinnati’s Kinderballet. The troupe is part of the Anneliese von Oettingen School of Ballet. Formed in 1948, it’s Cincinnati’s oldest ballet organization upholding the late performer’s methods as a discipline and art form. The Kinderballet is comprised of 12 to 20 young performers aged six through young adult. The troupe gives performers valuable experience before a live audience while introducing new viewers to the art of ballet. Because of the age of the performers, productions are typically less than an hour.
