Enjoy Hoosier life in the mid-1800s featuring encampments, military drills and re-enactments of pioneer living. Enjoy live entertainment on stage and throughout the park with strolling musicians, story tellers and live melodrama. Check out the farmers' market, crafts, antiques, vittles, antique tractors, engines, vintage bicycles and cars. Children's area features pioneer games and fun activities. Non-denominational old-time worship service is held under roof at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Hier's Park features paved paths and indoor restrooms. Some activities, dining, and shopping are held under roofed pavilions that have concrete floors making them wheel chair and stroller accessible. Encampments, demonstrators and children's activities are held on grassy areas on mostly level ground. Antiques are inside Heritage Hall building. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students & children age 5 and up. Children 4 and under are free. The festival does not charge for parking.
