Over 40 businesses will participate in this new holiday celebration designed to highlight the many businesses along Franklin Street. Crawfish and gumbo cooking, and Cajun and southern music playing will be the order of the night. Each business will host a special inside their restaurant, bar or store where patrons can earn beads and prizes. The Pink Elephant Party Bus and Mighty Cab vans will be dropping off and picking up along Franklin all evening free of charge. The event is from 6pm to 2am. The Franklin Street Events Association invites everyone to get in the spirit by dressing up New Orleans-Mardi Gras-style. Armbands with complimentary T-shirts can be purchased for $10 at Lamasco Bar & Grill, Winzerwald Winery-Evansville Tasting Room, Tin Man Brewing Company and Heirloom Records. The armband must be worn to participate in the bead and prize giveaways.
