Indiana is beginning to safely re-open business. Along the way, you might be wondering, “What is open in Indiana right now?” The Back on Track Indiana plan features a multiple-stage gradual re-opening process of the economy. Indiana has now entered Stage 5, which means that many restrictions have been lifted but visitors must remain vigilant in the fight against COVID-19, and face coverings are still required statewide. Our information is not exhaustive and more detailed directions and guidelines on Stage 5 are found here.
While businesses are permitted to be open at various levels during different stages of the plan, individual businesses will make decisions on a case-by-case basis on how they will proceed. We recommend checking on the status of a particular location before visiting.
It is imperative that you follow the CDC social distancing guidelines everywhere you visit in Indiana. Face masks are also still required as part of Stage 5. Local governments may impose more restrictive guidelines, so be sure to check local instructions before making any visit. To understand if a specific business is open and the procedures they are undertaking, please do at least one of the following: Check their website, call ahead, or visit their social media accounts.

Marion, Monroe, and Tippecanoe counties are keeping tighter restrictions than the state’s mandate. Please check local guidelines before visiting. Learn more here.

Indiana is slowly reopening for business, but the fight against COVID-19 is far from over. Wearing a face mask in public is one of the simplest, most effective ways to slow the spread of the virus, but we need everyone to do their part to keep our state safe. That’s why all Hoosiers and visitors are required to mask up. Learn more about #MaskUpHoosiers.
