Blevins opened the restaurant to offer the good folks of Anderson great food options not typically found within the city, made from the best ingredients (sourced locally whenever possible). Diners won’t find anything processed on the menu but will find tons of healthy and great tasting options.
Patrons can enjoy brunch Tuesdays through Sundays and dinner Thursdays through Saturdays. The menu offers something for everyone, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
We sampled a few options, including the Blueberry and Goat Cheese Crostini, Avocado Toast, and Crab Cakes with Corn Pudding and Greens. The full menu offers everything from Fried Green Tomatoes, unique salads (try the Salmon Sriracha Caesar Salad), and Vegan Veggie Wraps. Dinner options include handcrafted burgers, Chicken Quesadilla, and something fantastically called the Honey Salmon with Bearnaise Sauce & Bacon Wrapped Asparagus.
Farm Society is housed in the old Ryan Mutual Motor Company Building in downtown Anderson. The restaurant is about a block away from Oakley Brothers Distillery. Visitors won’t lack comfort on the inside of the restaurant. Blevins has made the interior a cozy place to escape to for brunch, with a particular emphasis on the aesthetics. Suffice it to say; it was very easy to photograph the inside.
Since its opening, Farm Society has become a go-to brunch restaurant in Anderson. The popularity of the restaurant has also brought in regional diners, with folks coming from all over central Indiana.
Along with catering options, Blevins plans to begin a take-home meal service in the coming months.
If life takes you through the great city of Anderson, make sure to stop by Farm Society. Better yet, make life take you to Anderson with a destination to one of the best brunch places in east-central Indiana.
