Nothing says the holidays like a train ride, warm cup of cocoa and tasty sugar cookie. Indulge in all three this holiday season by climbing aboard Nickel Plate Express' holiday train ride, the Reindeer Ride in Noblesville.

A family holiday experience, the Reindeer Ride is an hour-fifteen minute holiday train ride through the Indiana countryside. Passengers will travel to Santa's Workshop in the cozy train while singing Christmas carols and visiting with Santa.

The little engine that could decorated for Christmas!

Reindeer Ride Highlights

  1.  Santa: Santa will travel to his workshop and meet with each child during the ride. Those on the nice list will receive a special gift from Santa!
  2.  Santa's Workshop: Santa's Workshop is the train's destination! The workshop, a 150-year-old train depot, will be completely lit in holiday lights by local sponsor Gaylor Electric.
  3. The Train: The shiny Santa Fe train cars will be decked out in approximately 10,000 holiday lights, while plenty of elves, garland and ornaments set a charming atmosphere on board the holiday train ride.
  4. The Drinks: While kiddos fill up on hot chocolate or jingle juice, mom and dad will feel extra festive by opting to add Kahlua or peppermint schnapps to their own cup.

A moving entertainment venue, Nickel Plate Express takes passengers back to a different time. Built in 1956, the train was originally used to haul passengers from Chicago to Los Angeles. Considered a luxury train in the day, movie stars and businessman were frequent ‘fliers’. When climbing aboard, it’s easy to imagine taking a trip cross-country in the 50s and treating yourself to a cigar and scotch in the upscale dining car.
