It's coming ... the annual Jingle Rails exhibit at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indy. Last year was my first time to visit this annual exhibit and I am figuring out when to go back this year.It is hard to explain it for those that haven't visited, but basically you enter a locomotive wonderland full of trestles, bridges and tunnels with chugging trains. As you walk around Jingle Rails you'll watch seven trains wind past local treasures which include:
- Downtown Indianapolis
- Eiteljorg Museum
- Monument Circle
- Union Station
- The Indiana State Fairgrounds
- Lucas Oil Stadium
But the best part (in my mind) are the detailed replicas of national treasures, all made of natural materials like twigs, moss and nuts and wrapped up in holiday trimming. It is truly a sight to see and so detailed! The exhibit is on display from November 21-January 18. Check here for hours and prices.
