Steampunk is often considered a sub-genre of entertainment, but it's starting to emerge as its own genre classification of music, literature, and art.

Steampunk, if you're not familiar, is currently a sub-genre of science fiction where everything is steam powered. It's as if the internal combustion engine, indeed electricity in general, had never been invented. The form was inspired by Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and Mary Shelley. Imagine a riding lawn mower that was steam powered and ran on coal, or a lighter-than-air ship that you rode to the office, where there was a basic steam-powered analytical computer. That's Steampunk.

So it stands to reason that somebody comes up with a Steampunk Holiday Adventure just in time for Christmas.

The Old Town Players of Vincennes, Indiana have written their very own Steampunk play to combine the retro-new art form with the ancient art of theatre.

A Steampunk Holiday Adventure will take you on a fabulous journey with a group of extraordinary voyagers aboard the airship Quest to celebrate Christmas Eve in the village of Victoriana. Each traveler is on a personal mission - to find joy, love, adventure, treasure, and more! Shady characters, drama queens, and a mischievous monkey attempt to steal their Christmas Spirit, but these festive holiday makers weave a tale of Christmas magic with a Steampunk twist!
