Film Festival of Hendricks County, October 5 - 7, 2012

By admin on September 24, 2012
Back

The Film Festival of Hendricks County is coming to the historical Royal Theater in Danville, Indiana on October 5, 6, and 7, and will showcase more than four hours of short films from both local and national filmmakers.

Each film will be shown twice during the three-day event as the entries will be broken into three 90-minute sittings, Series A, Series B, and Series C. Each series will cost $5 per person, and tickets will be available only on the day of the event.

On October 6, the Hendricks Civic Theater will give a free performance between 4 and 9 p.m. on the south side of the Courthouse Square.

A short film, according to organizers, is any entry that’s 40 minutes or less. None of these films are rated, and so they may not be suitable for children.

The times and dates for each series include:

  • Series A — 7 p.m. Oct. 5 and 4 p.m. Oct. 6.
  • Series B — 7 p.m. Oct. 6 and 4 p.m. Oct. 7.
  • Series C — 1 p.m. Oct. 6 and Oct. 7.

All student-directed entries will be shown during Series C. A more detailed breakdown of the adult-directed films including the title, director, duration, genre and series follows:

Series A films

  • Hold Me Closer — Thomas Fisher, 26:10, Documentary.
  • Imagine If — Drew Varvell, 10:45, Comedy.
  • PUSH Tunisia — Nathan Gray, 37:00, Documentary.
  • Wish You Were Here — Yvonne McCann, 5:48, Drama.

Series B films

  • Gingersnap — Tyler Beasley, 5:06, Comedy.
  • Her Beautiful Voice — Jennifer Peterson, 23:00, Documentary.
  • Mapping the Juneau Glaciers — Flounder Lee, 14:10, Documentary.
  • March April — Collin Souter, 29:28, Drama.
  • Stirling Hallard Bright Drake — Robert Sickels, 15:28, Documentary.
