Bellaboo’s in Lake Station, Indiana

While I love the change of seasons that we experience in Indiana, especially the change to beautiful fall weather, a part of me always dreads the temperatures falling. I have two active little boys, and the coming of winter means the end of heading to the park to burn off all that extra energy. We walk to our neighborhood park, Freedom Field, at least 2 or 3 times each week. So I’m already researching indoor play areas that could fill some of that void when it is too cold to get outside.

I sure wish I lived near Lake Station, Indiana, because that’s where you’ll find Bellaboo’s. But on my next trip up I-65 heading to the northern part of the state, I’ve put this indoor play center on my list of pitstops. It was designed to encourage imaginative play for kids, and it also features a cafe for parents to relax and spend time together. Children can play dress up, climb slides and jump into the ball pit, get creative with art supplies and so much more. There’s even a room just for infants and toddlers.

There are also special activities that correspond with each season, so even if you’ve been before, there’s likely something new for you and your kids to check out.

And if the weather is nice, Bellaboo’s is located within Three Rivers County Park, so you can still get outside and enjoy the fresh air while the weather is still beautiful.
