Car collectors and fans are invited to enter their custom and vintage cars into the On The River Car Show in Vevay, Indiana on September 15, 2012 at the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park, right there along the Ohio River. It’s the home of the Swiss Wine Festival, which was held just a couple weeks ago in August.
Registration is $20 per car, and the show is from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm. Dash plaques will be given to the first 200 entrants, with over 120 trophies to be awarded during a presentation that begins at 4:30pm.
Food and drinks will be provided by Decisions Catering and the Jeff-Craig Fire Department. Oldies music will be provided by TC Fairline and Rockin Renee. Mac’s Seaplane Service out of Rising Sun, IN, will be offering rides. Giveaways will be available, including a pedal car, tool box fridge, and hot rod grill.
The car show is hosted by Mike Bear and Floyd Canada, members of the Switzerland County Antique Tractor and Engine Club. All proceeds from the event will be donated to charity.
A cruise-in will be held on Friday, September 14 from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park. Live music will be provided by The Makeshifts.
Additional information can be found on On The River website. Information on lodging, local businesses, and tourist activities can be found at the Switzerland County Tourism site or by calling (812) 427-3237.
