Odon, Indiana (Daviess County) is celebrating its 127th year in existence with its Old Settlers Festival on August 7 – 11, 2012. Starting on Tuesday, August 7 with the Old Settlers parade at 6:30 and the presentation of the Grand Marshal, and ending with the Linda Smith Band on Saturday, August 11 at 10:00 pm, there is something for everyone at the little town just west of Bedford.
There will be carnival rides running every night of the festival (a $15 bracelet gets you on every ride), a talent contest, games for the kids, a Little Miss and Little Mister contest, baby contest, and a professional band performing every night. Plus, there are craft booths every night, and a Cruise-In and Car show at 2:00 on Saturday.
Show organizers also promise a veritable smorgasbord of food vendors — cinnamon rolls, ice cream, fries, pizza, foot long hot dogs, barbecue sandwiches, elephant ears and funnel cakes, and to wash it all down, lemon shakeups.
