The Red Tail Squadron RISE ABOVE exhibit will offer a short film about what the Tuskegee Airmen had to overcome to fly and fight for their country during World War II. The film will showcase awe-inspiring flying footage and be shown on a curved, 40-foot panoramic screen.
In addition, the Indianapolis chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen will be on site to discuss the lasting legacy of leadership in Indiana, a direct result of the Tuskegee squadron.
The exhibit will be at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis June 20-21 from 10am-5pm. The free, outdoor exhibit will be located in the Carousel Parking Lot.
The exhibit will next move to the Capitol City Ford Indianapolis Air Show at the Indianapolis Regional Airport, also known as the Mount Comfort Airport. The exhibit will be on display June 23-24 (8am-6pm) for air show visitors at no additional charge.
