The Hendricks County Convention and Visitors Bureau is encouraging visitors to “Come, Stay and Play” with three getaway vacations next month on their TourHendricksCounty.com website.
Their Win & Grin Getaways contest features three different themed trips, one per winner. Each winner will also receive a new Sony Bloggie camera so they can share their Hendricks County vacation with their friends and family.
When you enter, you get to choose one of three trips for a group of four:
- Adventure & Outdoor Recreation: This getaway will provide an insider’s look at the county’s largest nature preserve, as the winning group joins a naturalist at McCloud Nature Park near North Salem for a nature hike. The adventure continues later in the day as members take on an indoor rock climbing wall at The Crag Climbing Gym in Brownsburg and then enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner at Dawson’s Too – Sticks & Stones restaurant in Brownsburg. After a comfortable night’s stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Brownsburg, a final adventure awaits as the group goes on a scenic horseback ride through the woods at Natural Valley Ranch in Brownsburg.
- Arts & Culture: This trip will bring out the creative side in any group as they join a private class with Indiana Artisan Lisa Pelo. Through a private session, she will teach the group the fine art of glass blowing. The visit also includes dinner for four at a local restaurant, an overnight stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Avon and a hands-on class at the Gallery on the Square in Danville. In addition to plenty of memories, this lucky foursome also will take home a Rural Routes to Main Street Cultural Trail gift basket.
- Family Fun: This trip begins with a refreshing day at Splash Island Family Waterpark in Plainfield including its new Leisure River. Then, head to Monster Mini Golf in Avon for some black-light, indoor miniature golf before enjoying dinner at a local eatery. After an overnight stay at the Hampton Inn in Plainfield, the family will spend the remainder of their trip at the Indianapolis Zoo.
