Catch the Fort Wayne TinCaps this Summer!

By admin on March 18, 2012
Back

The Fort Wayne TinCaps are gearing up for Opening Day April 5 at Parkview Field in downtown Fort Wayne!

The TinCaps have welcomed nearly 1.2 million fans through the first three years and they are looking for another successful year in 2012.

So, what exactly can TinCaps fans expect for the 2012 season? Each year is a brand new season at Parkview Field. A vast majority of our players will be new to Fort Wayne, either having been drafted in recent years or signed as free agents by the San Diego Padres (the TinCaps Major League affiliate).

Fans can also look forward to the launch of the “It’s All About You” campaign. This effort is part of the TinCaps’ goal of making fans the focus by providing unique prizes and experiences. Specifically, they are offering season ticket holders the opportunity to win free food throughout the 2012 season, a option to have their own baseball card in the TinCaps team set, a chance to have the Parkview Field grounds crew manicure their home lawn, and the opportunity to win a life-size bobblehead of themselves that will be displayed on the Parkview Field concourse. Other prizes and experiences will be announced closer to Opening Day and throughout the season.

Excitement is in the air, following the recent announcement of Parkview Field being ranked the “#1 ballpark in all of Minor League Baseball” and the “#13 venue in all of professional sports!” What an honor for this amazing facility!

“Being recognized as the top Minor League ballpark is a nice pat on the back for all of those that dreamed, planned, built, and now maintain Parkview Field. It’s up to us now to keep striving to get better, find new and innovative ways to entertain fans, and keep Parkview Field as one of the best sports facilities in the country,” adds Tincaps Vice President of Marketing, Michael Limmer.

Tickets are still on sale for Opening Day now. The night will include post-game fireworks and their usual “Thirsty Thursday” promotion with $1.00 beer specials. Tickets can be purchased in person by visiting the Parkview Field Ticket Office, by phone  260. 482.6400, or online at any time at TinCaps.com
