It’s March in Indiana. Where else would our attention be than the basketball court, watching our favorite teams compete for a championship? While this is one of those very rare years when Indianapolis is not hosting any of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament games, you can still catch plenty of hoops action around the state.
NCAA Women’s Games in Indiana
Several games in the first and second round of the Division I’s Women’s Tournament will be held in Indiana. Matchups and times will be announced when the women’s bracket is released later today.
On March 17 and 19, Purdue University will host games in West Lafayette. Tickets range from $22-$32 and are available here. Notre Dame will host on March 18 and 20 in South Bend. Tickets available here.
NCAA Men’s Games in Indiana
On the men’s side, several Division I schools are still competing in various postseason tournaments. Three games will be held in the state.
NCAA Men’s Games Outside Indiana
And don’t forget to cheer on the Indiana University Hoosiers, Purdue University Boilermakers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish later this week in the NCAA Men’s Division I tournament. Also, the Valparaiso Crusaders play this week in the NIT tournament in Miami.
IHSAA Boy’s Basketball Tournament
If college basketball isn’t enough, then get your hoops fix with the high school boys tournament. Semi-State action takes place on Saturday, March 17 around the state. The State Finals will take place on March 24 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. (The girls tournament concluded last weekend.)
