A Little Taste of Fall at Brooke’s Candy Company

With the brisk weather quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to reintroduce yourself to your favorite fall comfort foods. For me, this includes sweets…and lots of them. So when I heard about the famous Belgian chocolate toffee made at Brooke’s Candy Company in Dana, a small town just 90 minutes west of Indianapolis, I was all ears.

Not only are they know for their delicious toffee, with flavors ranging from “Coffee Toffee Mocha” to “Orange Toffee” and everything in between, but they make fresh fudge, chocolate turtles and mint meltaways as well. Oh, and did I mention their chocolate is imported from Wieze, Belgium?

All of Brooke’s products are homemade in the 1900s Plantation-style home that Brooke grew up in and first learned to bake with her mother. It really doesn’t get more authentic than this. In fact, Brooke’s Candy Co. is a member of the Indiana Artisan program, an elite group which aims to raise awareness about the availability of hand-crafted products made right here in Indiana.

Her candies can be found throughout the state at local shops and festivals, in addition to their retail store in Dana and online shop on their website.

Since fall is approaching, I would recommend the Old English Almond Toffee or the Maple Pecan Fudge. You won’t regret it!
