Lego Mosaics. Electric Motorcycle. Mind Controlled Robotic Arm. Yarn Bombing.
What do all of these have in common? They are created by people who enjoy bridging the gap between technology and the imagination. They are Makers. And while musicians and actors perform on stages, Makers perform at Maker Faires across the country.
The first Maker Faire was 2006. It is an event created by Make Magazine to celebrate arts, crafts, engineering, science projects and the Do-it-Yourself mindset.
Over the past 5 months Conner Prairie has been working to find and recruit Makers from around Indianapolis and the entire Midwest to participate in our first ever Indy Mini Maker Faire. This year we will be incorporating our long standing tradition of Country Fair presented by DowAgro Sciences, with the new component of Maker Faire, bridging the gap between past technologies and present technologies.
