Indianapolis Rib America Festival, September 2 – 5

Blind Melon, the Doobie Brothers, KC and the Sunshine Band, REO Speedwagon, and pounds and pounds of barbecued ribs? You’re only going to find it at the Indianapolis Rib America Festival, September 2 – 5 at Military Park in downtown Indianapolis.

Mojo's BBQ at Rib America

Mojo's BBQ

This is one of the biggest music and meat festivals in the whole state of Indiana, and one that every live music fan and/or barbecued rib lover needs to visit.

In addition to national acts, local stars like Jennie Devoe and The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band will also share the spotlight.

Tickets are $7, which includes the concerts and access to as much meat as you can eat. Barbecue champions and heavy-weights from all over the country will be participating in the barbecue competition, including Mojo’s BBQ from Georgia, Joey’s Texas Thunder BBQ, Willingham’s World Champion BBQ from Tennessee, and Squealer’s BBQ from right here in Indiana. And to fill out your plate, there are french fries, spiral spuds, and elephant ears.
