Brown County, Indiana Launches the “Pack Up, Gas Up and Stay” Promotion

Brown County, Indiana has always been a great place to stay, especially in the fall. But summer is another time to explore one of the most scenic areas of Indiana, and the Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau wants to give you more reasons to visit with their new “Pack Up, Gas Up and Stay” promotion that runs from June 17 – August 31, 2011. The promotion features special lodging deals, and the chance to win one of $50 gas cards.

I always felt very arty and inspired when I stayed at the Artists Colony Inn

To take advantage of the lodging deals, you have to visit their website at, and you need to mention your coupon code when you make your reservation in order to receive the discounts.

I’ve always loved visiting Brown County, especially in the middle of the week during the fall, the scenery is gorgeous, but the crowds are a little smaller. But I’ve been there in the summer as well, and enjoy exploring the different shops, walking around town, and hiking in the forests.

But there are other activities, especially for the outdoor enthusiast, including hiking, swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking. But if you’d rather stay inside, there are plenty of ice cream and candy shops, restaurants, and theaters.

Some of the inns and lodges participating in the event include the Artists Colony Inn, Brown County Getaways, Comfort Inn, Cornerstone Inn, Green Valley Lodge, Hidden Valley Inn, Hills O’ Brown Vacation Rentals, Honeysuckle Hideaway, House at StoneHead, Salt Creek Inn, The Seasons Lodge, and Shady Hollow Cabin. (I’ve stayed at the Artists Colony Inn before, and it’s one of my favorite inns in the state of Indiana.)

If you have a chance to visit Brown County this summer, be sure to take advantage of the “Pack Up, Gas Up and Stay” promotion.
