This will the the fourth annual 4Kay Run Hydrated by POWERADE ZERO and it will be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the 2011 NCAA Women’s Final Four. The run, a mainstay of the Women’s Final Four weekend of events, is scheduled for at 8 a.m. on April 2.

I’ve been trying to get in shape for my upcoming wedding this June, so I thought this fun run would be a good motivator. I signed up early because the first 1,500 runners and walkers (yes, walkers are encouraged to participate) to register will receive a long-sleeved 4Kay Run T-shirt donated by Nike. The sizes of the shirts are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
I’ve got my whole family signing up since it’s being held on such an awesome site. I can’t wait to run the track before the big Indy 500. Registration for the 4Kay is $20 if you sign up online before the day of the race or $25 on-site and you can register for the event at ncaa.com/finalfour. Registration on the day of the race, as well as packet pick-up, will start at 7 a.m.
So get in shape and support a good cause! You still have time to register before the race. Indianapolis is such a great sporting community and this is the perfect time to get involved while taking advantage of participating in the Women’s Final Four festivities.
