This post is the third in a series of three “French Lick is…” posts. I recently had the opportunity to travel to the French Lick Springs and West Baden Hotels as a guest of the resort and the Indiana Landmarks Foundation. It won’t be my last trip there. You can read the first post here and the second post here.
So far in this series, I’ve talked about how the French Lick Resort in southern Indiana is great for adult getaways — either girls or guys weekends or romantic retreats. But that doesn’t mean that French Lick isn’t a place for kids. In fact, the French Lick Springs Hotel would be a terrific place to take the family.
Things that I would do with my three kids at French Lick include:
Bowling and video games at Pluto’s Alley (named for the mineral spring that first drew visitors to the hotel over 100 years ago)
Twilight Tours at West Baden — suitable for older kids (ages 9 and up)
Visit one of several area attractions, including Big Splash Adventure Indoor Water Park and the Indiana Railway Museum
Enjoy the magic of the holidays at one of the resort’s many holiday events, including Christmas tree lightings, breakfast with Santa, arts & crafts fair, and Dickens carolers.
If a beach vacation isn’t in your budget for Christmas or Spring Break, consider heading south — to French Lick Springs Hotel in southern Indiana. Your kids will thank you for it.
Fun and games at Pluto's Alley
