The Murat Theatre at Old National Centre is one of my favorite places to see a show in Indy. Not only is the venue great, but it is nestled in the heart of Mass Ave, a thriving cultural district in downtown Indianapolis. On October 13, the gang from Yo Gabba Gabba will be performing two live shows at the Murat. My son can’t wait to “dancey-dance” with Foofa, Brobee and all his other friends from the show.

While Mass Ave might be better known for its vibrant nightlife, if you’re planning to attend the Yo Gabba Gabba show and want to create the perfect afternoon or evening for your favorite toddler, there are many family-friendly stops in the neighborhood to choose from. I recommend starting your visit at Mass Ave Toys. Every nook and cranny of the store is full of unique, educational toys that you probably won’t find anywhere else.
All kids love pizza, so for dinner, consider stopping at Bazbeaux. Adults will love some of the more interesting varieties, like Quattro Formaggio and Neptune.
After the show, head north on the avenue for a treat from the Best Chocolate in Town. They have truffles in every flavor you can imagine, along with ice cream and other delicious baked goods. It will make for a sweet ending to a fun day in the city with your kids.
You can purchase tickets to Yo Gabba Gabba Live from many online ticket retail sites. Shows are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on October 13.
