Let your body groove to the music. Sound familiar? Even Madonna would agree, there’s no shame in getting a group of pals together with one mission in mind– Retro Rewind.
Every Wednesday night at 10 PM the Vogue theater, located in Broad Ripple, takes a ride in the DeLorean straight to the ’80s. A favorite of birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties, and basically any other reason to sweat to the oldies, (yes if you’re jivin’ hard enough, you will sweat) Retro Rewind night at the Vogue has become sort of a cult classic with us college kids. In a world dominated by Justin Bieber and Ke$ha, Retro Rewind offers a much needed departure via Grandmaster Flash, Michael Jackson and The Bangles. After all – we are products of the ’80s.
While go-go dancers bounce around on platforms around the dance floor, a hot body contest on the main stage takes place…just to spice things up a bit. And if that’s not enough to make your out of the ordinary night more special, while you swivel your hips to Brass Monkey by The Beastie Boys, enjoy bottle service in the VIP area located in the upstairs loft. If VIP isn’t your style, enjoy great deals on drinks. Drink Specials include $1.50 Bud & Bud Lights, $2.50 Cuervos, and $3.50 Jager.
Call it an all out ’80s bash with a twist, I call it the perfect mid-week distraction. Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it.
