Nothing says summer like outdoor concerts. So if you’re looking to hold on tight to that last bit of summer fun, then this weekend is a great time to hit the road and head south for the Ferdinand Folk Festival. While there are plenty of festivals that revolve around enjoying live music outdoors, the Ferdinand Folk Festival organizers have gone to great lengths to make this event an atmosphere where children are welcome and the whole family can enjoy the day.
The festival takes place on Saturday, September 18 and will feature a variety of local and regional musical acts. Check out this video to see a sampling of scheduled performers.
For the kids, the Ferdinand Folk Festival also offers face painting, story telling, a children’s concert, and a variety of other activities. And if music isn’t your thing, there will also be a farmer’s market, art fair, nature walk, mutt strut, and plenty of food and drink vendors.
The event will take place at Ferdinand’s 18th Street Park. The fun begins at noon and concludes around 8:30 p.m.
