Music, food, sports and entertainment will all be in plentiful supply at the 2010 Haynes Apperson Festival in Kokomo. From July 1-3, the entire city will flood the downtown area to be a part of the festivities, and if you’re looking for a fun weekend, you should definitely join them.
Catch the highlights of the weekend on July 3, including a car show at 11am, the annual parade at 2pm and an impressive fireworks show at 10pm. For $10, you can enter your car, truck or motorcycle and try to snag a prize.
This year’s festival features an impressive lineup of musical artists. All concerts are free, but VIP tickets can be purchased for $20 at Palmer’s Jewelry or The Wyman Group in Kokomo.
- July 1: Paul Stout Country at 5:30pm, Cook & Belle at 7pm, LoCash Cowboys at 8pm
- July 2: Inside Out at 6pm, Wang Chung at 7:30pm, LoverBoy at 9pm
- July 3: Token Blue 5pm, Joe Cameron Band at 6:30pm, Amanda Overmyer at 8pm
There will also be plenty of sports action to watch or participate in throughout the weekend including: men’s and women’s slow-pitch softball tournaments, 3-man adult and youth basketball tournaments, paintball and bowling contests, horseshoe tournament, an obstacle course, a canoe race and much more.
