I grew up in a city that hosts an air show every other year. My house was in the flight pattern on the approach to the airport, so around air show time, we frequently heard (and felt!) the rumble of squadrons of jet engines racing by. There is something uniquely exciting about seeing, hearing and feeling those mammoth machines racing by. Kind of like Indy cars, only a bit more unbelievable because the planes are suspended in air.
Yesterday’s Three on Thursday mentioned this weekend’s Indianapolis Air Show at the Mount Comfort Airport. But the bare bones recitation of show dates and times (Friday 10am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-6pm) didn’t begin to capture the energy the air show has to offer.
