If you aren’t traveling to Indiana this weekend, you can flip on the TV and catch one of Indiana’s most historical buildings on the Science Channel on Saturday night (3/13).
West Baden Springs Hotel will be featured on the Science Channel’s Big, Bigger, Biggest episode “Superdomes”, which features Japan’s Oita Stadium, the largest freestanding dome in the world. The episode will also feature many of the other influential domes that preceded Oita Stadium.
West Baden Springs’ dome was the largest in the world when it was built in the early 1900s, and the technology used to build it has influenced other great domes like New Orleans’ Superdome, the Astrodome in Texas and Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.
So flip on the Science Channel this Saturday (3/13) at 10pm EST to catch one of Indiana’s great historical jewels.
