Head south to Main Street and stroll through old-fashioned Veach’s Toy Store which has been in business since 1938. It offers a huge selection of the very latest fun and educational toys, games and hobbies. Across the street is the Secret Ingredient, an upscale ladies boutique. Visit Olympian Candy for handmade candies & hand-dipped fine chocolates. They have been serving Richmond for more than 100 years!
In the evening, refuel at Old Richmond Inn, where you can choose from dozens of mouthwatering entrees. Save room for a piece of their famous peanut butter pie. Head to Historic Centerville where unique finds are to be found at the local potter, country store and Webb’s Antique Mall, Indiana’s largest antique mall. In Cambridge City, also home to many antique and specialty shops. Relax and luncheon at the Pour House Antiques & Café known for their deli sandwiches, fresh-made soups, desserts, fudge and refreshments such as espresso, cappuccino, cider, tea, frappes and fruit smoothies. After lunch venture along Main Street to the Museum of Overbeck Pottery (and it’s free). This early 20th century pottery is recognized as an important part of our national art history and was crafted by six sisters who lived and worked in Cambridge City.
