Get Ready to Open Wide! Devour Downtown is Almost Here!
I’m not sure about everyone else, but I’m getting a little stir crazy with a bad, bad case of cabin fever! I know the snow has melted and the temps are finally above freezing but that hasn’t helped shake my winter blahs. When the skies are gray, the weather overcast and ground soggy the cozy spot on my couch with my dogs nestled at my feet is a lot more appealing than venturing out and about. After a few days, weeks, and months of this kind of winter weather induced behavior you start to feel like you’re hibernating more than living!
Thankfully, one really good excuse is coming up to chase away those winter doldrums. Devour Downtown Winterfest – Indianapolis starts on January 25, 2010 and plays out through February 6, 2010! Two whole weeks of dining deals sure to lure even the most winter weary homebody out for a little fresh air! (Devour Downtown menus are all 3-courses $30 per person – with a few doing 2 for $30 deals!)
This year there’s lots of new restaurants joining the line-up including Milano Inn, Ambrosia Centro, Bella Vita, the Rathskeller, Chancellor’s and Rock Bottom! As always, I’m having a hard time deciding where to spend my dining dollars those two weeks – I’m always up for trying something new, but I love a good excuse to visit an old favorite like Taste of Tango, Palomino or Greek Islands. With 43 restaurants participating this year it’s going to be a hard pick! I bet we hit up more than one before the event’s over! Most menus are already up on the Devour Downtown website so you can see what strikes your fancy – visit http://www.devourdowntown.org.
Whether you’re in the mood to dress up and hit the town or just get out for a great meal at a great price – Devour Downtown’s many different restaurant options have a taste for every palette and with some restaurants offering 2 for $30 menus and a few with lunch options – everyone can find a deal that puts less of a dent in their wallet!
